First meeting Norway

13 februari 2015 - Auckland, Nieuw-Zeeland

had a good flight to Oslo, 1:55 h flying time and a lot of nose, Italians and African football team .. This time, no baggage problems but I was sooo hungry! So after 1 hour in the airport wondering around, what was hard because of the small size, I decided to buy a baguette for only... 80 Krone, almost 7 euro... But luckily at least I have everywhere discount, 50% on the train! I was quiet tired so I couldn’t really enjoy much from the train ride, but I think I saw a moose, from fare... Changing in Hamar was a challenge with 50 kg baggage. By arriving we were picked up by or buddy, every student has a buddy ( student that can help you with different practical things). We had a meal with some other students from my class in the Swiss house. Luckily because I have no food and the small shop, over the river is closed on Sunday... So the next to 2 days was interesting... Luckily I got a box with some leftovers from another Belgium student that left He mark! So saved with pasta and muesli! On Sunday we met some of the other student, half of our class is from Switzerland and we are only 15 in class! We had a short guide tour around the small campus, visited the moose enclosure, saw the two main building with library, fitness sport gym, canteen, that are really cosy and all the different student houses. It became already soon clear that there is a bit a barrier between the internationals and the Norwegian students... We will see what that gives... I sleep in a big room with the best view over de river and mountain, Forest. In my building, existing out two floors we are only 3 internationals and all the rest are men from Norway, mmm... I went for a small walk around, somewhere sinking until my knees in the snow! It's also, very sleepy everywhere and we cannot enter the main building with shoes, so that means we are all siting in socks in classes... After a match of volleyball ( where the ball smashed by face)'we had a meal together and went early to bed for the first school day. Today most of the paperwork is filed in and I also got my first shopping experience behind me, pfuuu... I could catch a ride with a Swiss men from my class and a guy from Slovaky and we drove to the closed town, Koppang, 20 km further. it took us 2 hours, or it took me 2 hours to find what I wanted and I still don’t have everything... Everything is in Norwegian and soo expensive...
